I haven't been playing DC Universe Online that much recently, but all things considered, I thought that things should only be getting better as time went on. I mean isn't this how these things work? MMO gets released, problems are found and solutions and fixes get rid of the bugs and makes everything nice and pretty. Now today I finally get some free time to play and what do I find upon log in?
Nothing.
I can't log my character in as I am apparently the 200th person in line just waiting to get onto the server. Is this even suppose to happen these days? I've played through a couple of MMOs in my time and I've never run into this problem before. Then again, this is the first time I've played a MMO at it's launch, so I suppose that might be the case? I just never expected to be left waiting in line like this to log in and play. What makes this even more surprising to me is the server my villain is on has only a medium population, but I guess that is just too much to process?
I am a little disappointed by this, but I guess this just means I'll have more time to play Torchlight instead. I also know that things like this makes me wonder if I should even extend my subscription beyond the 30 day free trial. I really don't want to spend $15 to end up waiting in line to play a game. Call me inpatient, but this sort of thing just does not sit well with me.

Hahahaha! Welcome to the world of popular MMO's. This is actually pretty standard.
The main reason why the server I play on for WoW doesn't have queues (anymore) is because it's an old server. One of the original ones from launch.
I used to have to log in when I got home from work, eat dinner, check e-mail, and THEN I could play... Longest queue I was ever in was around 600+ or something like that.
