Sad Truth

I've been reading some into the recent shooting in Arizona, maybe more so now since the suspect was discovered to be a "gamer." Because of this, now that guy's face is popping up on a few game blogs and while it is sad and tragic, that isn't what I am here to write about. What I am here for is about a comment that one of the other readers had left, which has got me thinking a bit now. Below one of the recent postings about this, someone left a comment saying this:

"This man does not deserves his words to be read. There are good people out there. Honest people and forgiving people that go their entire lives doing right by one another. They die, forgotten by this world a month after they pass.

A mad person arrives, with their guns firing and their eyes red. And the world pays homage to them. They circulate their photos, they study their words, and they analyze their deeds. Pure wickedness, and it has made them a god.

No. No, I will not read anything analyzing this person. I have the fortunate burden of not being involved in his criminal investigation. I will exercise that luxury by avoiding any of his madness and bile. Honor should be kept for decency, not villainy."

And isn't this the truth of the world? Isn't it sad that so many words will be written and spoken in our lifetime, yet so many more will fall on blind eyes and deaf ears. And yet a person goes ahead and just randomly shoots innocent people and just like that they are famous. The talk of the country, face is plastered everywhere and now his words is out there and all the world is reading it.

This certainly does give a person something to think about and as I've said, it surely did give me quite a bit to ponder about.
