I just have to get this little thought I've been having out of my head and into the open: It is a strange thing, this internet isn't it? I mean I've spent my time wandering about and I thought I saw quite a bit to keep in the "know." But today that fact was proven wrong, as I was floored today when I did my yearly check into Twitter.
Apparently the Thundercats, the 80's cartoon that I and so many grew up watching (I think He-Man was more a favorite in my house, but anyway...), is getting it's turn at a reboot! As I understand it, the Japanese studio STUDIO4°C will be handling the animating of the reboot. They've done work on The Animatrix and also Halo Legends, which I more or less liked, so this should be pretty good in my book.
Maybe what is more mind boggling to me is what took this so long to happen? I mean when I saw the reboot to He-Man some years back, I thought it was almost a given that Thundercats had to be right behind of it. How could it not be?
I was wrong and I think that He-Man reboot was back in 2002-2003. It took almost 10 years to get to this point!

Despite learning of this reboot only today, I have not been able to find a definitive date for when this reboot will start airing. Not that knowing that information will help, considering I have not had access to cable television in years, but maybe there will be other channels to find these episodes when the time comes.
I am also interested in wonder just how much of the original characters will be retained in these rebooted characters. I assume it will be like the reboot to He-Man, in that it won't be entirely as cheesy as their original counterparts. Which I suppose that is a good thing...
