So it has been a week or two since I last wrote and to merely say how things in life have changed during that time would just not suffice.For starters, oh. My. God. Final Fantasy VI, finally... FINALLY re-released! And that, ladies and gents, is indeed a wet dream come true. But more about my giddy-like-a-school-girl bouts a little later.
The biggest deal, to me, in the last couple of weeks, is moving out from my apartment of five years. Yes, this ties into what I wrote some time ago during that post where I said I'd explain more later. My girlfriend and I knew it was coming, but when it finally happened... I guess it still came as a bit of a shock.
What sucks so much about it is the moving aspect. We have no car, or van or people we know that can help us drag our shit from our current place to our new apartment. Our one and only saving grace is the fact that this new place is just down the street from where we are right now.
Not bad right?
Right?
Yeah, right...
Now imagine looking out your window and seeing a pair of people carrying a TV or say, a mattress? Down the sidewalk. What would you think? Yeah, it'll be weird for sure and to add the icing to this little cake of a mess, we have until the 15th of February to move out and have our old place cleaned up or we'll have to pay full rent.
Lemme sum my thoughts up about that little idea: NO F'N WAY!
Wow, I am feeling so incrediblely rusty at this writing stuff right now. As if I had it down in the first place, but damn. Shows what a few weeks of not doing this can do. Right now, honestly, I feel just ever so slightly wound up over this whole thing. How in the world can we move our shit within a time frame of 3 days?
Yes, we are looking for miracles at this point.
Or a car.
Oh wait, that would be a miracle huh?
Crap.
And while all of this was happening, two bright spots popped up and helped just enough to keep the unbearable, well, bare able.
For one, my girlfriend and I celebrated our 5th anniversary together on February 1st. I cannot believe how the years have sped along. There are certain days where my mind will drift back to our days in high school and the thoughts of how much simplier life was then. Honest truth though, much of the advice and what not that was imparted onto me made much more sense as time went on.
I suppose this is just a part of living and learning huh?
Ok, all right... onto the main event. Subject jump in the middle of a different topic: Check.
Final Fantasy VI people. I cannot express how much I have wanted to replay this game and finally finish it off once and for all (my previous attempts were lost due to a mere shake of the SNES cart and ta-da! Memory wiped!).
So yes, this time it is like a time for redemption, to finish what was left undone and to finally lay the old school smackdown on Kefka.
With all of this said, it is time to log outta here and prepare to move a mountain or three. Maybe drink an ocean and send the sky crashing down too. Impossible say you? What that be says me! Weird I am, but proud is me!
