So here I am, just sitting before my computer and mindlessly browsing through an endless sea of articles and such on all manner of gaming. Hell, E3 is on this week and there is always a ton of stuff going on in the world of gaming.
One particular article caught my eye had to do with a particularly legendary RPG. What is this I'm reading...? Final Fantasy XIII US release date confirmed?! At last! Spring 2010 you say!?? For the Xbox 360 even!! Yay... wait, what?
So the Xbox version gets the green light, while the PS3 is left in the dark (thus far). That makes me wonder aloud; whatever happened to the PS3 version? Don't fucking tell me the Xbox is going to choose NOW to start pulling ahead here...
In the end though, it makes no difference to me because I am not going to touch Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox. Oh no, that one is solely reserved for my PS3. I don't want to put my hopes into a machine that is still liable to die at any given second. I refuse to go through yet another month of waiting while my console requires another vacation to Texas.
Yes, I am adamant about this like no other. Besides that, to me the Xbox does not really have any games now or in the near future that interest me all that much. Perhaps the exceptions would be the recently announced Left 4 Dead 2 and maybe even Halo 3: ODST. Besides that, hell... the PS3 is getting everything the Xbox is getting.
Maybe I am overly sour about the Xbox or maybe it also ties into the fact that we had to send in one of our Zune players (to Texas). Why? It died, just barely a year after we purchased it. Were we shocked?
Nope, not in the least. Believe me when I say, the lesson has been learned.
