The Future Looks Good...

As I wrote not long ago, upon reading about Final Fantasy XIV, I had wondered if there will finally be some real solo content in this new game. I was a little surprised to find that my question would not need to go unanswered for all that long.

Once again, after browsing through IGN, I happened upon a small write up that contained a few tidbits about FFXIV. Among the new info, this was said about solo versus party play:

What is the combat system like?
"The development team won't say, but it did confirm to us that... Additionally, the heavy team-play aspect of FF11 has been de-emphasized, and now exploration and battle is said to be more balanced between solo and team play. "

Needless to say, it surely seems as though I will be heading back to online gaming after all! Perhaps the days of wasted hours on short lived parties and failed attempts at quests could be at its end. One thing is for certain at this point: I am getting a little hyped up for this one!

One thing though...

While apparently the races in this new FF online will be similar to FFXI, I have to wonder what happened to the Tarutarus? Were they finally killed off? Poor little people...
