It's been a weird few days, I mean with changing out from Cable internet to dial-up. It has been years since I've ever had to deal with the joys of dial-up and thankfully, it hasn't been the pain in the ass that I remember it to be.
Still, there is a noticeable change in webpage loading speeds and its been a little rough getting used to having to slow down. But I guess having some form of internet at this point, is leaps and bounds better then having absolutely nothing at all.
Anyway, that is the explaination as to why I went from posting like a madman, to nothing in a heart beat. I guess I will try to pick up my writing pace, just as soon as I know that everything in life is settled to the degree it needs to. What the hell does that mean? Heh... I'll write more about this later on.
But for me, the biggest and most noticeable change would be my "retirement" from the game of Final Fantasy XI. Yeah, I know I blogged a short while back that I had ideas of taking a break and I guess this counts towards that. It is just that I can't say for sure as to how long this break will be or it just might be the end it for me. It was truly a fun run (for the most part) and it was a very eye opening experience, to see what these online RPGs were like.
I admit that I did feel a little bad about it at first, I mean neither myself or my girlfriend get much of a chance to say any goodbyes to our friends (like all 2-3 of them in reality). But we did manage to send them messages through POL's website, so hopefully that will suffice.
Overall, I think it was the fact that we had spent a little over 2 years on the same game is a little too long for my own liking. And, after reading up about Final Fantasy XII, I think the time is right to take a step back and look forward to something new. Considering what was written about the next chapter in the Final Fantasy series, I fully expect to devote every possible minute playing that bugger. It sounds like the beast I've been waiting for...
So anyway, I've continued on (slowly) with Disgaea 2 and I am definately enjoying the story. I'm like Yukimaru, though she is a little nuts. I must admit that Etna and her Prinny servents are a nice addition to the story. I can't wait to stop having to level up my army for a bit and push forward with the story.
Well that's it for me, for now, but I will definately be back eventually. Man, that is a line you don't want to hear someone say to you huh?
