Although it is unrelated to the picture next to this, I was able to watch Jet Li's The Fearless a few days ago. And I could go into every single little thing that I liked up about it, but I think I'll just say that this movie was simply awesome. Loved it in theaters and can't wait for that one to hit DVD.Which basically sums up the idea of this blog today: DVDs.
As far as I can recall, I think the only movie I've seen this year (besides The Fearless) that I'd get on DVD would be Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest. That and, like the previous time I did it, to get yet another shameless excuse to post up a picture of Keira Knightley.
Ok and maybe X3: The Last Stand.
Maybe.
Or maybe I'll get that when it hits the discount rack.
I'm not saying that it was the worst movie ever, but with everything it could have done to end it... I just thought the whole thing looked pretty weak. Kill off Cyclops to let Wolverine get Jean? What? Then again, I did read that Wolverine might get his own spin-off movies. Blah.
I think my favorite character out of the entire movie would be Magneto. I think his personality was shown truly for what it was for once and the greater showing of their powers made it feel a little more like a movie about the X-Men.
But I guess enough about that, time to go into something else. Such as....? Hmm... Video games? Wrestling?
Haven't really played much of Disgaea 2 lately, though I did manage about 50 hours before actually stopping. Though considering the amount of things left to do, 50 hours is truly nothing. Still, I've gotten a little tired of it and quick in thanks to the fact that overall, it really isn't different then the first game.
What I have gotten into is Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria. It takes some getting used to in the beginning, but the graphics is beautiful and the gameplay seems simple enough to get into and yet addictive. But more about this later, maybe when I get more game time in.
Another game I'd like to get before the PS2 dies off forever is Okami. It looks fun...
Oh and WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw 2007. Oh to make people cring just thinking of a game... hahaha...
Onto wrestling...
Surprised that AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels won back the TNA Tag Team titles. But I guess I shouldn't be, considering they had pretty much gotten the crap kicked out of them nearly every time these 2 teams crossed. I guess this will help carry on the feud...
Kurt Angle to TNA. Wow. Just wow.
Sad to see Trish Stratus leave. Personally, at this point, it looks as though the Women's Division is indeed dead. Hopefully Lita doesn't become the Stephanie McMahon-type champion, should she win the title back. Another hope would be that the other women are able to step up and maybe start to drag the division back up again. But considering how things have gone for it, I doubt that will happen.
Well, I'm done. Out of thoughts. Tank has run on empty. Is that even possible? Anyway, be back eventually to write.
