The Dark Knight

So tonight was the night when my girlfriend and I went out and saw The Dark Knight. We enjoyed the hell out of the first movie (Batman Begins) and so expectations were high, to say the least.

And when the end credits began to roll, man. To say that I enjoyed it, to say that it was worth it, just wouldn't do this one justice. This is the first movie that has ever actually had me on the edge of my seat.

It is dark and it is nothing less then a roller coaster ride from start to finish. I won't ruin anything by explaining, but you can literally watch things go from good, to bad, to worse.

The cast was absolutely incredible here and I don't just mean Heath Ledger either. Everyone fit their roles and nothing really felt out of place. The touches I liked here like how Batman struggled to find a balance in his personal life and also in his alter ego as well.

Speaking of Heath Ledger though, as I told my girlfriend, there were many a times during the movie where I totally forgot that it was Ledger I was watching. When I watched him on the screen I didn't see him. I saw the Joker. Believe me when I say that he does play a very good (and incredibly crazy) Joker.

I guess I could just go on and on forever, but that is just plain boring huh? I will end this by simply saying this: If you watched and enjoyed Batman Begins, you must see The Dark Knight. Then again, if you watched and enjoyed that, you'd be like us and will end up seeing it regardless. ]

Still...

I don't care what others have to say about this movie, I enjoyed the hell out of it and I would definitely consider seeing it a second time. If I rated movies, this would easily get 5/5. Easily.
