Lady Mechanika

I don't know why it was that I was looking at Aspen Comics recently, but I am glad that I did. While I've never actually been able to keep up with the comics from this particular company, I've always admired the work of the late Michael Turner and so I have been kind of keeping tabs on their work from time to time.

Fathom was always something of interest to me, but that series has been on-going for quite a while already and I kind of want to pick up into a new series.

And this time? I've found something that really caught my eye.

This series called Lady Mechanika combines some pretty interesting topics like steampunk and a girl with amnesia who happens to solve crimes and generally and kick the ass (or asses) of anyone in front of her. What's not to like?

Now I wanted to pick up into this series straight away, but to my surprise the two issues that are out already are more or less sold out. What comic book series sells out these days? Does that even happen anymore?

Anyway this is definitely a series that I will be keeping an eye out for and if I ever do get the chance to get the back issues, then who knows? Maybe this will be the one that gets me back into the world of comics.
