XIV

Despite my feelings about Final Fantasy XI, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't interested in FFXIV. The starting races all do seem practically identical to those in FFXI, but there seems to have been at least some changes besides their names. And, just like with Halo 3 ODST, this video has helped raise my interests some. I have to be honest, it certainly looks interesting to my eyes.

I am wondering though... there is a particualr scene in the video where there seems to be a few characters on a boat, fighting off an army of jellyfish looking creatures. My wonder is if the battles will be like that? That would mean the combat would have to be much faster then it was in FFXI. Now that is cool, should that be true.

I'd dodge this game if the battles are like in FFXI. That many monsters? Good lord, you'd be fighting for a full day just to hack those bastards all apart!
