On top of the madness that is DC Universe Online, I did also get the chance to try out the demo for Torchlight a day or so ago and you know what? I actually do like this game a whole lot more then I expected I would. Perhaps I like Torchlight even more so then (King's Bounty) Armored Princess, if only because the combat is much, much faster paced.
And if Borderlands has taught me anything, its that I am, in fact, a loot crazy son of a gun and this game is no exception to that. New, better equipment pops up all over the place and the look of my demo character changed quiet in a bit in the 2 hours that I spent with the demo.
As for the verdict as to if I'd buy this game or not, I think the answer should be a little obvious by now. I think it is a very safe bet to say that I would most certainly buy this. It is fun to play, fast paced and it doesn't seem as though the story takes itself overly serious. Then again, for all I know there could very well be a deep, dark story lurking beneath this short demo. But in any event, I am looking forward to getting a chance to give this game more of a play through in the near future.

Torchlight
I have been moving towards PC gaming lately, as it appears there are quite a few RPGs on there that looks interesting to me. One such game is Torchlight, which is already out for both PC and Mac and will also be releasing on Xbox Live sometime later this year.
What is so interesting to me is how this game is apparently taking the good things about Diablo and refines it into something all it's own. Another interesting aspect is the ability to retire a leveled character and being able to apparently pass off skills or items to an entirely new character. I wonder how far you can go with such an ability? Would an all powerful character be possible?
Truth be told, I have been seeing things being written about this game for some time now. But it wasn't until today that I've actually checked this out for myself. While I haven't played this game for myself (yet), I have downloaded the demo off of Steam and will dive into this right away.
Hell any RPG that even so much as looks interesting to me these days, will definitely be a game I will try. I am desperate to see and find out if there are any good RPGs left in this world!
