The Holidays Are Upon Us

Oh dear god.

That is the first thing that comes to mind as the month of October begins to wind down to a close. Bedlam also comes to mind, among a number of other choices of descriptive wordings associated to "chaos."

Yes it is that time of the year again folks, when shopping malls and department stores across the country go from civil places of gathering into full blown battlefields. Some people will be scarred for life, others will not make it through it to the end. One thing, however, is for certain...

The holidays are upon us.

Now say it aloud with me.

Oh. Dear. God.

And this year is no nicer to us gamers, oh no it is not. November alone will be a hell of a month in games, with titles of interest (at least for my part) include: Gears of War 2, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3, Mirror's Edge and The Last Remnant. And after suffering through the shit called TNA Impact, I simply cannot wait for WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 to be released to cleanse away the bitterness.

Now I just need to find more creative ways to convince myself not to quit my second job. I mean with the way games are being released, I know I will need every last penny I can muster. But I will admit this: I swear I never knew how much I hated people until this job happened. The amount of unnecessary bullshit from some of these fucking idiots I have to deal with just blows my fucking mind.

And these are the so called "adults."

Maybe that's why my boss there plans some childish activities during his meetings and, for example, we have to bring goodie goodie (note: double the goodies) bags to trade with other workers. I mean this is a fucking warehouse I'm talking about here, not just some store job or anything like that. And we're trading goodie goodie bags.

I could be wrong, but I do believe I left the second grade a long, long time ago?

I blame it on the lead paint...

At least you're not a World of Warcraft junkie like me. :) Then you'd be spending even MORE money. As always, I am eternally grateful that I don't work in any retail place any more. I make every effort to treat retail employees really well, though, because I know the hell you guys go through. I did it for YEARS. ^_~
